Fender Custom Shop's hand-wound '57 Stratocaster pickups are the heart of classic 1950s Stratocaster tone. They deliver percussive lows, round mids, and smooth high-end chimes, creating the perfect medium-output punch of the late '50s. These pickups feature black fibre bobbins, vintage staggered alnico 5 magnets for focused sound and enhanced dynamics, wax potting just like the originals, and 42-gauge Formvar wire. The middle pickup has reverse-wound/reverse-polarity design to cancel hum in positions 2 and 4. All are hand-wound in the Fender Custom Shop, offering a charming'scatter-wound' sound reminiscent of the old days. Key features include being hand-wound in the Fender Custom Shop, initialled and dated by the winder, specific DC resistance values (Neck 6.02k, Middle 6.02k, Bridge 6.39k), Formvar wire, Alnico 5 magnets, vintage magnet stagger for balanced output, and coming with a certificate of authenticity.
