Product Description

The first genuine CuNiFe-magnet-powered Wide Range pickup in over 40 years offers a rich, bell-like humbucking tone. It has full bass and clear treble, delivering a 'hi-fi' clarity that maintains attack and definition even under heavy use. The chrome cover with a '3 + 3' exposed pole piece design and the Fender logo gives it a vintage '70s look. In the early 1970s, as popular music leaned towards the fatter tones of humbuckers, Fender enlisted the renowned pickup designer Seth Lover. He crafted a unique, high-output dual-coil pickup with a distinct Fender flavor. The Wide Range pickup uses large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe-rod magnets, creating a brilliant sound heard on Telecaster® Custom, Thinline, and Deluxe guitars of that era. Musicians of all genres have sought these pickups for decades. The original CuNiFe-magnet pickups vanished when the Telecaster Custom was discontinued in 1979. Features include Fender exclusive CuNiFe magnets, Polysol wire, specific DC resistance (Bridge 11.2k - 11.8k, Neck 10.1K - 10.7K), and installation hardware. Specifications cover style (Humbucking), configuration (Single Pickup), magnet type (CuNiFe), magnet wire (Polysol-coated), inductance (Bridge 5.3H, Neck 4.2H), lead wire (Single conductor coax), pole pieces ('3+3' exposed), tone (Vintage), and output (Vintage).

Using this Fender pickup is a breeze. First, make sure you have all the necessary tools and follow the included installation guide to put it in your guitar. Once it's installed, plug your guitar into an amplifier and start playing. You'll notice the great vintage tone right away. When it comes to maintenance, keep it clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or dirt. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity as this can affect its performance. If you're not using the guitar for a long time, it's a good idea to store it in a case to protect the pickup. And remember, if you have any problems or questions, you can always reach out to Fender's customer support.
