This is a vinyl LP of Jeff Parker's Forfolks. Released on December 10, 2021, via International Anthem and Nonesuch Records, this album features solo guitar works. It includes interpretations of Thelonious Monk's 'Ugly Beauty' and the standard 'My Ideal,' along with six original compositions. 'Four Folks' was first written by Parker in 1995, and 'La Jetée' was recorded with Isotope 217 in 1997 and Tortoise in 1998. The four brand - new original tracks are loop - driven, combining melodic improvisation with electronic textures.
