The Texan trio, featuring Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald 'DJ' Johnson on drums, takes a new musical direction after their 2015 debut, The Universe Smiles Upon You. While the debut drew from '60s and '70s Thai cassettes and Southeast Asian pop, rock, and funk, this album focuses on the often - overlooked funk and soul sounds of the Middle East, with strong Iranian influences. The album is released by Late Night Tales in 2018.
